Everything the LMES PTO accomplishes is made possible by generous partners — local businesses, dedicated volunteers, and LMES families who show up for our school. Here’s how you can help power the crew:
Corporate Sponsorships
Local businesses are the wind in our sails. Corporate sponsors help fund Captain’s Craze, classroom resources, teacher appreciation, and year-round PTO programming. In return, sponsors are recognized across our community — on event signage, our school fence banners, social media, and our newsletter — as valued friends of LMES.
We also welcome businesses to host Spirit Nights, where a portion of purchases benefits our students directly. Interested in partnering with us? We’d love to hear from you!
Volunteer Opportunities
LMES runs on volunteer power, and there’s a role for every schedule and comfort level — from a single event shift to an ongoing committee seat. Opportunities include:
- Event setup and day-of support (Meet the Teacher, Boo Bash, Bingo, and more)
- Classroom and grade-level help
- Homeroom Helper program
- Dock Crew and Vision & Hearing Screening support
- Teacher treat and hospitality support
No experience needed — just a willingness to help. Sign-ups are shared throughout the year.
Fly a Flag on the S.S. LMES or Buy Spirit Wear
Keep an eye on the water — the SS LMES Spirit Boat is our floating tribute to Captain pride, decked out in school colors and ready to represent Lake Murray Elementary at community events on and around the lake. It’s a fun, unmistakable way our Captains spirit sails beyond the schoolyard by purchasing and decorating a flag for a special birthday or event!
Show your Captain pride every day of the week! LMES Spirit Wear includes t-shirts, spirit gear, and seasonal collections available through preorder windows in the back-to-school season, before the winter holidays, and again in spring. Look for the Spirit Wear table at Meet the Teacher and other major events, and stay tuned to our newsletter and Facebook page for each preorder window. All proceeds support PTO programming for our students and staff.
